Organization RUN thanks everyone!

The Run Weekend started under warm weather conditions on Friday evening with the FunRUN and the Lutje RUN. The 47th edition of the big RUN on Saturday will go down as very hot and with the slowest time ever run on the 100 km. This was partly due to the weather conditions. All intended records were therefore not achieved.
In the end, all 161 participating 10×10 relay teams reached the finish. 35 participants disembarked in the 100 kilometer race and 15 runners in the 50 kilometer race.
The warm weather, however, led to a traffic controller and an ultrarunner being taken to hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, both are back home and we wish them a speedy recovery.
We have a special thanks to all residents living on the Runroute. With their care and water showers, they ensured that all runners were provided with the necessary cooling. Proud of the residents and participants and especially the first aid!
Our thanks are great to all participants, volunteers, officials, speakers, sponsors, the municipality of Oldambt, OldambtNu.nl, RtvGo!, RTV Noord, other media and everyone else who we have forgotten.
