RUN Winschoten. The ultra running event of the Netherlands.

The RUN Winschoten consists of the following parts:

100 km Ultra
The RUN is the Netherlands` oldest ultra run. It is a 100 km road race. The competition has in principle been held on the second Saturday of September since 1976. Since 1995, the solo run has also been part of the official Dutch 100 km Championship.

50 km Ultra
In addition to the 100 km, you can also compete over a distance of 50 km. Here too, there are different categories in which you can compete. For example, the Oldambt Cup is awarded to the fastest gentleman and the fastest lady from the municipality of Oldambt. can also be completed in relay form. The relay teams leave half an hour later than the solo runners. Each team must change after each 10 km lap. There are various categories for which you can register for the relay team competition.

10x10 Estafette
In addition to the solo loop over 100 km, this distance can also be completed in relay form. The relay team's vertrekken een half uurtje then leaves the solo runners. LutjeRUN
For the children there is the LutjeRUN. Since 2019, this has been held on Friday evenings. The central point for this run is the AV Aquilo athletics track.

WalkingRUN
Nowadays, in addition to running, participants in the RUN can choose to go walking. Around 250 walkers participate every year. The start of the WalkingRUN is at Mr. DU Stikkerlaan near the sports hall. The routes of 10 - 20 and 30 km all go through the beautiful area of the Oldambt.
