The BUTIQ Optiek 5 km RUN has been a new part of the RUN Winschoten programme since 2024. After a successful introduction that year, BUTIQ Optiek from Scheemda has linked its name to this distance from 2025 onwards. The result: a fast, accessible and enthusiastic race that perfectly fits the finale of a sporty Saturday.
The 5 km starts at 5:00 PM and is the ideal finale to a long day full of sport. A short distance with plenty of pace, atmosphere along the course, and room to go after your personal best.

The BUTIQ Optiek 5 km RUN is run on the first 5 kilometres of the 10 km course. That means: flat, clear and made to keep the pace. This makes the route attractive for both beginners and runners who like to take turns sharply.
With a tightly marked course and plenty of spectators along the side, this is a race where you are swept up in the energy of the event from the very first metre.

The RUN events are known for their popularity, and the 5 km is no exception. With only 200 starting spots available, it is wise to sign up in time. From 1 March 2026 you can register for this distance.
